At the heart of Mudra Link is Surface Nerve Conductance (SNC). The human wrist is a highly valuable “real-estate” for sensing the human body. Nerve bundles and arteries pass directly beneath the skin thus it is possible to sense the electrical conductance of the nerves and other bodily functions and collect valuable data.
The hand, palm and finger muscles are activated by the ulnar, median and radial motor nerve bundles. The Mudra device uses sensors placed on the skin in proximity to each of these nerve bundles. The sensors capture the biometric signals generated by the nervous system brain - when the user makes subtle finger movements.
When the user moves fingers, the SNC sensors detect the neural signal patterns originating from the passing through the wrist. Deep learning algorithms translate electronic signals and classify them as the user movement intent. Each movement intent, say a soft tap of the index on the thumb, is translated to the correlating gesture, in this case a Tap gesture, is bind to a function, Select, on the device.

Air-touch gestures are a combination of discrete and continuous gestures with hand and forearm movements such as “slide-to-unlock”.
